Great Experience at The Mexican House I recently visited and had a fantastic time! The place has a cozy and welcoming vibe, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. They made us feel right at home. The menu had so many delicious options. I started with the Tostada ceviche, which was really fresh and tasty. For my main course, I went with the tamales, and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked with great flavors. My friend had the quesabirrias and torta de pastor and loved it too. We couldn’t resist trying the churros for dessert, and it was the perfect way to finish our meal. It looked amazing and tasted even better. Overall, The Mexican house really impressed me. The food was awesome, the service was great, and the atmosphere was just right. I totally recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a nice place to eat.
This place is an example of actual authentic food. If I could eat this regularly I would. I had the best experience here. The Enchiladas were excellent in flavour,presentation and finish. The atmosphere here was exactly as one would expect. A lively Latin American restaurant inside a market. Walls are decorated as to take you there. The service was incredibly friendly and very attentive. I can without a doubt say this is the place to go. Forget the chain restaurants that serve you watered down and whitewashed food with cookie cutter deco. Go here. This restaurant/market is The Real Latin American restaurant.
Great location for a quick bite of authentic Mexican food! It's very convenient too, right off the highway. The staff were very friendly and warm! The food was amazing. Loved the tacos and burrito, the meat and vegetables were very fresh. We will definitely be back!!!
Made a stop off the highway to have a late lunch here and it did not disappoint. Lunch started with chips and a warm salsa before enjoying some house made guacamole which was incredible. We each had the flauntas (one with chicken and one with potato). They had a fair selection of vegetarian options too! We suggest you give this small restaurant a try and truly enjoy a home cooked meal.
I had an excellent experience at this Mexican restaurant! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the homemade chips and sauce were a standout. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, which I appreciated as someone who values prompt service. The ambiance felt authentically Mexican, with a charming touch of a grocery section that added to the vibe. For just 75, we enjoyed 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, drinks, and dessert—great value for the quality and portions. I’ll definitely return to try more dishes. Highly recommend!

We’ve been on the hunt for years for amazing authentic Mexican food, and this is honestly the best Mexican food we have had in Canada. Definitely give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Omggg! You MUST visit this adorable, authentic shop/restaurant if you’re in Barrie, it has the most delicious Mexican food, the service Alan provided was so homey and sweet - he even gave us a free churro, which made the experience unforgettable and we will definitely be back!
